'I had no choice but to leave United' - Hojlund addreses Man Utd exit and Napoli move

The Danish international striker joined Napoli in a season-long loan deal with an option to buy. Hojlund made 95 appearances for the Red Devils since signing from Atalanta in August 2023, scoring 26 goals.
He lifted the Emirates FA Cup at the end of the 2023/24 season, after coming on as a substitute in the final against Manchester City.
However, the Danish striker struggled to find form throughout his stint with the Red Devils, and his real struggles began under the leadership of Ruben Amorim, as he managed just six goals in 33 games under the Portuguese coach.
And when Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko arrived over the summer, Hojlund could see the writing on the wall.
"My prospects for playing time diminished as they brought in reinforcements for my position. With my age and ambitions, I had to find a place where they believe in me, give me a lot of love, and offer a good sporting package. I feel 100 percent that I have found it with Napoli. It's something I'm really, really looking forward to", says Hojlund to TV2 Sport.
