Liverpool and Manchester United failed to deliver an exciting match yesterday. It ended in a 0-0 draw which means that Liverpool remain fourth in the league.
Manchester United's €105 million signing Paul Pogba hasn't impresed so far and has been criticized a lot. His coach Jose Mourinho has backed the 23-year-old so far but after yesterday's draw he criticized him and admitted he's disappointed. Mourinho isn't disappointed with the result but admits Pogba' didn't play well enough.
"Had it been 1-0 it would have been finished,' Mourinho said on 'Sky Sports'. "Where Pogba was I was expecting more penetration.
"Defensively we did really well, we should have had a little bit more. We had a big chance that I thought Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] was going to score.
"[It was a] very difficult game for us and for them. More difficult game for them than us. We started really well and were completely in control," he admitted.
Mourinho's team had yesterday their lowest possession, 35%, since 2003. Mourinho said the low possession percentage was planned: "We knew that they wanted to press forward. We know that their transition is really strong and high. They [Liverpool] are not the last wonder in the world like you like to say they are".
