Rodrygo doesn't want to be the new Cristiano Ronaldo. The Brazilian was emphatic in his answer and regretted not having played with the Portuguese: "I don't want to bear the pressure of replacing Cristiano Ronaldo".
"It was a dream that I had to be able to play with CR7 at Real Madrid and it's a shame that it didn't happen. Cristiano is one of the best players in the history of the club, if not the biggest", he added about the current Juventus player.
Rodrygo was asked about his perfect hat-trick in the Champions League. "It didn't expect everything to go so fast. Not even in my dreams when I was a kid at Santos. Not long ago I was thinking about making my Champions League debut. Therefore I don't know how to explain what I felt after the match. It was a unique and special moment".
He also revealed that he often receives support and advice from Raúl, Madrid legend and current youth team boss: "I speak a lot with Raúl who was my manager at Castilla and he always helps me a lot with advice".
"My time at the club has just started and I hope to one day be as big as them. I don't feel pressure, I enjoy the moment", he added about Raúl and Butragueño.
He also spoke about his favourite position on the park: "In Brazil, I started playing on the left, but I have played in the centre and on the right. Nowadays I don't have a favourite position. Therefore both here with Brazil and Real Madrid, wherever Tito or Zidane put me, I will play and do the best I can".
