Pyschology is something very important to football players. When your mental health isn't good, you don't perform on the pitch like people expect you to. And that's exactly what happened to former Chelsea player, Billy Gilmour.
'Daily Mail' has reported the statements made by the player to the judge against Orla Sloan, a 22-year-old 'influencer' - known as the 'Devil Baby' - who is accused of stalking and harassing footballers. Among those named in the case are the Scottish international and other Chelsea players as well: Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell.
Gilmour was the victim of extreme harassment by the 'instagramer' after they met at a party at Chilwell's house. It got so bad that the midfielder had to talk to his club, who increased security.
"This has had a very negative impact on me and my performance. I can't sleep and I have to take sleeping pills", stated the Scotsman before the Westminster Court, according to the outlet.
"Orla was someone I met once and for a very short period of time. The change of tone of her messages to try and get my attention was really worrying. Her attacks have damaged relationships and friendships that I had", he added.
The British outlet also reported that Orla had lied about being pregnant. 'The Sun', another tabloid paper, also recently reported that she changed her number 21 times to harass Mason Mount after they spent the night together.
