The summer transfer window is just around the corner, and with it, the rumours start.
United has appeared on Saul's horizon. When the midfielder announced on social media that he had "new" club, many thought he would leave, but in reality it was a grassroots project that the player has undertaken in Elche.
The midfielder, in an interview with 'Radio Marca', wanted to make clear that he has no proposal. "I see things on Instagram, in newspapers... but I don't know anything about any club. I am focused on finishing these days and fulfilling the objectives with Atlético", he made clear.
"I have a long-term contract. I signed it because I wanted to stay with Atlético. Here's my family, my house...", he explained. And he said, by the way, why don't you go out and settle the rumours: "They tell me to go out and say it's not true, but if you say no and then something happens... you look bad".
Atletico de Madrid is the only thing that matters to him. "I play the game. Whatever has to come, let it come. I am focused on Atletico finishing in the first four and then trying to get the Champions, our most desired title," he emphasized.
"I hope this is Atlético's Champions League. We are fighting it, we are very excited, but now we have to focus on the league," he continued.
Finally, he spoke about how the matches will be in this new normalcy. "In a clash there will be many moments. The one that adapts best will be the one that wins. With the five changes, the game can change at any time. Each coach will manage it in his own way. We have eleven games left in a month and we all have to be at 100%. Our team is very competitive," he concluded.
