English footballers Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka were victims to a lot of criticism and even racist abuse last summer when both missed a penalty in the shoot-out in the Euro's final.
Both missed their shots and the Italian side became champions. A year and a half later, the young Arsenal star is one of the Three Lions' stars in this World Cup, and was asked again about a possible penalty shoot-out.
"Clearly, I've matured and I've progressed a lot as a player and as a person since then, and I wouldn't have taken penalties for Arsenal like I have done if I wasn't confident", he explained.
He then made clear that he would take another one: "Therefore, obviously, if the moment arrives and it's up to me to take one, I'll be more than happy to". Finally, he spoke about the praise he and the squad formed of Bellingham and Foden have received.
"Honestly, we don't talk about what people say, there are lots of good things, compliments, but there are some bad things too, therefore we're trying not to read everything. I know that us three are more confident in ourselves", he explained.
