The Brazilian footballer, who recently signed for Real Madrid, spoke to 'Marca' after the charity match organised by Zico. Endrick admitted that he opted to join Ancelotti's side to follow in the footsteps of two of his favourite players: Cristiano Ronaldo and Vinicius Junior.
"Real Madrid are a very big team, and Vini has sent me messages to give me more hope. Cristiano too, my idol, played for Real Madrid. That's why I chose Real Madrid and I think it's the right choice. God has always been with me and he told me that this is the best path.
"But he has not given me advice just for now, but for my whole life. He is my friend and I think this friendship will last for many years. I hope I can exchange a lot of assists with him and score goals too. I am so happy. I thank God very much but I have my feet on the ground. I haven't won anything yet. I thank God very much for the present, but the future belongs only to God," Endrick added.
Nevertheless, he explained that he is still playing for Palmeiras for the moment: "In 2024, when I go to Real Madrid, I hope to have good seasons. At the moment, I'm at Palmeiras, but I'll be supporting them from afar. May Vini, Eder [Militao] and Rodrygo have great seasons and may Real Madrid win more Champions Leagues, La Ligas and Super Cups," he concluded.
