"I can learn a lot from playing against Kroos and Modric in the UCL"

Celtic's Danish midfielder Matt O'Riley said Wednesday's Champions League match against Real Madrid, in which his side have nothing at stake in terms of qualification, will be "a good opportunity to show" what they can do as a team and also him as an individual.

"When I sit down and think about where I am and where I was eight or nine months ago... a lot of good things have happened to me. I've been able to be on the pitch now and it's unreal. It's a good opportunity to show what I can do at this level and what we can do as a team," he told the press conference.

"It's exciting to be here. We belong at this level and we have to do everything we can to get a good result," said O'Riley, who regretted not getting better results in the previous five games.

"We were disappointed to finish the way we finished the last game. We have been the better team on many nights, but we have less experience than others and maybe that has made it a bit harder for us," he said. "In the first five games, we have played our football and we will try to do the same," he added.

The midfielder said, when asked by 'EFE', about facing players in his position such as Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. "I don't have a preference, to be honest. They are both world-class players and I'm honoured to share this experience with them. I can learn a lot from players of this level and to be able to share this experience against them is great," he said.
