Barcelona's player Gerard Piqué gave a statement to 'L'Esportiu' in which he recalled the conquest of the World Cup in 2010 with the Spanish National Team.
"They opened my eyebrow. I literally broke my face for Spain, long live the King," said the defender in the funny interview, in which he reviewed the most curious moments experienced in the World Cup in South Africa.
Pique himself acknowledged that the key to the victory was the great relationship between all the players: "It was a great party, I had a great time. We didn't have any big stars, but we had a great team. That and the good feeling was very important."
When asked about the three things that changed in his life after the World Cup, Piqué replied: "That I was a father for the first time, for the second time... and little else because I had already won everything... Winning the Eurocup".
The Barcelona also had time to talk about his relationship with Shakira: "I met her before the World Cup and told her we'd see each other in the final. I'm always so brave."
Finally, he answered the question of whether he saw the Colombian singer the day before the final: "You know. Many legends circulate about me. But one thing is certain. I had a great time in South Africa."
