The Moroccan national side have surprised the world with their run at the World Cup in Qatar. After finishing top of the group, the team coached by Regragui eliminated Spain in the round of 16 and Cristiano's Portugal in the next round.
In the semi-finals, Sevilla's Bono was unable to celebrate his side's progress to the final after France had beaten him 2-0. After the final whistle, the Moroccan goalkeeper made it clear that he is proud of the Atlas Lions' run in the tournament.
"It's an incredible championship. The game was not bad. We played a great game. The first goal made the game difficult for us. The whole team is to be congratulated for the game. We are very proud. Now we have to prepare for the last match against Croatia," the Sevilla goalkeeper told 'TVE'.
He also made it clear that they had the final in mind: "It was unbelievable. We thought we could go to the final, but it wasn't to be. You have to be grateful. We gave everything and I'm happy to belong to this group. They took advantage of the little they had to make a difference.
