Humphreys completes permanent move to Burnley from Chelsea

Burnley Football Club have announced the signing of Bashir Humphreys on a four-season contract following his loan move from Chelsea.
The deal will take effect from 1 July, cementing the young defender's presence at Turf Moor. During the 2024/25 campaign, Humphreys made 28 appearances for the Clarets, proving to be a solid and adaptable player.
The 22-year-old expressed his delight at remaining at the club on a permanent basis: "I'm over the moon. From the minute I walked in last summer I have been welcomed with open arms and I'm glad to be here permanently now."
Humphreys highlighted the positive atmosphere he has found both in the dressing room and among the fans. "The togetherness within this team is massive, I know it can be cliché, but it really is, and we're excited for the next part of the journey in the Premier League."
With this signing, Burnley have strengthened their squad for the upcoming campaign in the top flight of English football where they will be looking to hold on to the top flight.
