The capacities
Spurs' new stadium will hold significantly more fans and spectators than White Hart Lane did (36,284). The new capacity makes it the biggest club ground in London, only second in the Premier League behind Manchester United's Old Trafford (74,994).
This capacity does not massively outweigh Arsenal's Emirates however, which can hold 60,260. The new Spurs stadium does however, have a 'Kop' style single-tiered stand containing 17,500 seats.
The costs
Spurs' new stadium not only exceeded it's original completion date by months but also hugely exceeded the original budget of £400m. It has now become the most expensive stadium in Europe, costing £1billion.
Arsenal's costs were much more modest as stadium costs go. The total cost was £390m, including the relocation of local businesses as well as a new waste and recycling centre.
The events
Beyond football, Spurs have a 10 year deal with the NFL which would hopefully see at least two NFL games hosted at the North London stadium in 2019.
The grass football pitch is able to be removed to make way for an artificial surface which NFL games would be played on. A unique feature for English stadiums.
Arsenal, on the other hand, have hosted a myriad of other events at the Emirates, including concerts. They had applied to double the number of gigs permitted at the stadium from three to six but the High Court won that battle.
The refreshments
Spurs have taken advantage of the latest technology in the food and drink industry, incorporating hot-off-the-press beer dispensers to those thirsty travelling fans. A traditional match-day meal is available, in the form of pies and burgers, but for the slightly upmarket diners, options such as loaded flatbreads and steak sandwiches are also on offer.
When it comes down to it though, a pie and pint is just about cheaper at the Spurs stadium than at Arsenal.
Other luxuries at Spurs
The Spurs stadium was built to incorporate a 180-room hotel, while star-studded chefs such as Michel Roux Jr are on the line-up for dining experiences at the stadium.
A 'Sky Walk' feature is available, allowing fans to enjoy the views of the stadium from 40 metres up.
