The Juventus striker, Gonzalo Higuaín, took a look back in an interview he had with 'Sky Sports' in which he spoke about, amongst other things, his miss in the 2014 World Cup final against Germany.

"It was an unexpected move, but I got the ball there and unfortunately I couldn't score. I remember that I did the first thing that came to my mind, but I don't know if I would do the same thing again if it happened to me now", he started explaining.

He also assured that the chance wasn't as easy as it could have looked on the television. "The ball came to me as I was running and had my back turned. The defender gave it to me who was 15 metres away and I just turned around, I was just behind the dee. It looks easier than it was", he said.

Moving on from speaking about the final, Higuaín spoke about his future plans, assuring that "it's unlikely" that he will remain attached to professional football once he retires. "I have other projects in mind. I would like to open a school of football for kids and teach them what I experienced and suffered to become what I am today.

"Maybe a child makes it and remembers the advice I gave them". I think it's all very valuable and it isn't being done enough", he added.

Higuaín also spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo, who he plays with at Juventus: "I played with him Spain. The years have gone by and now I have encountered a different player, who is more mature and who has a family. I'm excited to be playing with him again".
