Eden Hazard has spent two years battling injuries to try and show Real Madrid why they bought him. In his third spell, the Belgian will be looking to finally reach this level, despite some of the harsh criticisms he has received.
In an interview taken with 'Le Soir', Thibaut Courtois assured that Hazard has no intention whatsoever of leaving Real Madrid despite two disappointing seasons at the club.
"I am certain that Hazard will stay at Madrid. Only the Madrid press has written about his desire to leave. It's always a pity to see Hazard having these physical problems. I remember the times we spoke about Madrid and we imagined being together there one day. I know that he still wants to be an important player at Madrid and help them win titles", he stated.
The Belgian keeper insisted that he's "stronger now than he was before" and that he sees Hazard improving more and more in each training session: "I saw him very active and efficient. It's a pity that he's had another little knock. If he can play at the Euros, it would be very important both for him and for Madrid".
"Hazard wants to hang in there and be able to play free of injury. At Real Madrid everyone has their critics all of the time. Bale was criticised, yet he won the Champions League after scoring a brace in Kiev. We all know that there's pressure at Madrid. Hazard can still change everything", concluded a very serious but certain Courtois.
