According to 'Marca', the Belgian star has been trying to get back to full fitness as quickly as possible to try and do his bit to improve the team. His injury in his left leg has practically healed and he is now thinking of playing again.
The Spanish paper says that Eden, one of many Real Madrid players to get injured this summer, is confident about being available for Sunday's game at Villarreal. That would also mean he would play for Belgium in their two international fixtures in September.
When the Villarreal game comes around, it will be two weeks since his injury and although he was expected to be out for slightly longer, his recovery is going swimmingly. He is expected to play on Sunday, but he's not guaranteed to start. Zidane might bring him on in the second half in order to bring him back slowly.
The Belgian did not train with the rest of the group on Tuesday in Real's first training session this week. Instead, he trained with the rest of the injured players, but he should rejoin the rest of the squad in the coming days. That way, he will have been working together with his teammates for a bit before they face Javi Calleja's men.
If Hazard plays in Real Madrid's matchday three encounter, his participation in Belgium's international games is assured, according to the national team coach Roberto Martinez.
"I have positive sensations on Eden Hazard. He always wants to play and he usually recovers quickly and well so if he plays against Villarreal, we will select him," he explained.
