Juan Mata is continuing on his way at Manchester United. The Spanish midfielder gave an interview to his clubs' official channels in which he remembered Eden Hazard with very good words.
The Belgian player has not shown even half the performance he had at Chelsea, the club that went all out to sign him. Hazard himself admitted that it's been a year to "throw away".
"I loved playing with and against Eden Hazard. I think he was the best player in the league for many years. He could win games by himself", Juan Mata said.
The United player stressed that the reason he has not been up to the task has been injuries, but he predicts a good future for him at Madrid: "I am sure he will show his level when he is in a position to do so".
The Belgian has been news in the last few days for his change of look and for some statements about how he is spending the quarantine which could alarm everyone associated with Madrid. "I try not to go to the pantry for scones too much", he expressed to 'RTBF'.
Finally, Mata said that he misses Andrés Herrera, but that he keeps in contact with the PSG player: "He is very happy in Paris".
