Hazard, Costa and I are a perfect trio, says Pedro

The Blues forward is happy in a new front three and believes that despite having wildly different attributes, he and his fellow forwards compliment each other perfectly

Pedro has lauded Chelsea's attacking trio ahead of his side's Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The Spain international has started each of his side's last seven games as they have pieced together an eight-game winning run in the English top-flight.

Antonio Conte's decision to switch to a 3-4-3 formation, with Pedro lining up alongside Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, sparked the successful run and Pedro believes that while all three forwards are different, they actually compliment each other perfectly.

"I feel comfortable with Eden and Diego," Pedro said in an interview with Chelsea's match day programme. "We understand each other really well, we’re able to penetrate defences at the moment and hopefully we can do the same in this game.

"We’re three completely different players. Obviously Diego likes to play a bit further forward than me and then you have got Eden who is a player that likes to come inside  and dribble, and his final pass is fantastic.

"We’ve also got Willian, who gives us a lot of pace when he plays and is able to go past people as well. So we’ve got great options and hopefully we can continue in this way".

Pedro won the Premier League's Goal of The Month competition for November after he scored a pivotal goal on the stroke of half-time against rivals Tottenham, while Diego Costa won the Player of the Month Award and Conte the Manager of the Month prize.

The Blues forward considers the current sequence of results to be one of the best of his entire career and is excited by Conte's decision to move him into a more central role.

"I’m playing a lot more on the inside now than I was last season," Pedro added. "But I’m adapting to this and it’s just another string to my bow if I can get into that position.

"I am getting on the ball and receiving passes more centrally now, and getting in more goalscoring positions as well - obviously my team-mates are helping me to do this".
