Bad news for Real Madrid. Zinedine Zidane might not have Eden Hazard or Raphäel Varane available for Sunday's important meeting against Athletic Bilbao.
Hazard, who was the most significant absentee against Getafe as a precautionary measure, didn't' train alongside the rest of his teammates on Saturday, just before the squad list is made official.
Zidane already affirmed, before the match against Getafe, that they wanted to go step by step with the Belgian. But his second consecutive absence sets off the alarms at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Raphaël Varane wasn't at training on Saturday either. The French CB had to be replaced in the match against Getafe after being hit in the face by the ball.
The defender has had some discomfort in the neck since then, who will miss the match against Athletic Bilbao as a precautionary measure and as a recovery for the final stretch of the season.
The third big absence is Nacho Fernández. On 8th June, the defender got injured and since then he is in a recovery process that still hasn't finished.
