The match between Inter Milan and Liverpool will live long in the memory of Harvey Elliott. He was the youngest ever player to start a Champions League match.
The story did not end there in the Giuseppe Meazza, as Elliott also became Liverpool's youngest ever player to start a match in the Champions League.
Elliott played against Inter at 18 years and 318 days old, and in doing so, he wrote his name into the history books of one of Europe's most prolific clubs.
He broke the record held by a fellow member of his team on Wednesday night. Until this match, Trent Alexander-Arnold was Liverpool's youngest ever starter after appearing on the teamsheet in 2017 at 18 years and 354 days old.
