Harvey Elliott became Fulham's youngest ever player... at 15

With the 'Cottagers' 3-1 up and cruising late on thanks to goals from Joe Bryan, Luca De La torre and Cyrus Christie, Slavisa Jokanovic opted to turn to his bench and hand a debut to Elliott.

Still just 15 years and 174 days old, Elliott smashes the previous record set by defender Matthew Briggs, who made his first appearance for Fulham aged 16 years and 65 days.

The youngster was invited to train with the Fulham first-team squad during the last international break and clearly left a lasting impression as Jokanovic didn't think twice about throwing him in at the deep end.

Indeed, Elliot is so young that he cannot legally discuss a scholarship deal with the club until his birthday in April, whilst he must wait until he is 17 to discuss a professional deal.

A host of top European clubs are already understood to be tracking Elliott after some breathtaking performances for England's U15s side at a youth tournament in Italy this summer.
