Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller passed his medical with Borussia Dortmund on Thursday and, although his signing has been completed, it will not be officially announced until July at the request of his parent club Ajax Amsterdam.
Ajax wants to announce the transfer in July in order to be able to declare the transfer proceeds - 31 million euros plus variables - in the next tax year.
For Borussia and Haller, the delay makes no difference. Haller played for Côte d'Ivoire on 3rd June and is therefore scheduled to start training on 8th or 9th July. Borussia have declined to comment on the transfer, but in Germany it is taken for granted that it has been completed.
Haller has already spent time in the Bundesliga, where he played for Eintracht Frankfurt.
