Erling Haaland has spoken out about the departure of his close friend Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund. The England youngster will start a new stage in his career in the Premier League with Manchester United.
As a result, the Norwegian international and Sancho part ways, something which Haaland himself has wanted to speak about in some statements offered to 'Sport Bible'. They come just ten days after he reacted to the England international's post with a 'crying' face emoji.
"Of course it's sad that he goes but that's how it is and that's football. Me and Jadon understood each other very well and he's a top player," Haaland commented.
That being said, the Norwegian was optimistic about Dortmund's squad. "But I think that there's a lot of other good players that I have a good tone with and it can become even better. We have to see who I match the best with."
In addition, Haaland had time to speak about the arrival of Marco Rose to the squad, a coach who he knows well from their time together at Salzburg: "I talked a little bit with him and I know him from before because I had him for six months at Salzburg."
"He's a nice guy and I look forward to working with him. I heard the training sessions are hard here so it's exactly the same as it was at Salzburg. Hard training and a lot of running. That's what I expect the tactics to be, to press a lot and run a lot and attack a lot." he stated.
