Haaland accused of causing head injury to Man City mascot

Erling Haaland was charged and reported for hitting a Manchester City employee wearing a mascot costume on the head. In the end, it all came to nothing for the player, although he was not reappointed months later.
It all happened on 26 October 2024. In that match against Southampton, the Norwegian striker allegedly hit Manchester City's mascot Moonbeam before kick-off.
While posing for a photo, The Sun said, the person wearing the suit felt two blows to the back of the head. When he asked who it was, a teammate told him, "It was Erling". The person, in tears, reported the incident to the club itself, to which he received a simple derisive laugh.
The alleged victim went to the Manchester Police to report the incident, as she had had to go to hospital after suffering vomiting and pains in her neck and head as a result of the blow.
The complaint, according to the source, was unsuccessful. Neither was the investigation launched by Manchester City, which concluded that there was no injury. Moreover, it indicates that the Norwegian "brushed past" the mascot and hit him on the head as a token of appreciation. In December, the club did not renew the employee's contract.
