It shockingly emerged on Tuesday that the Portuguese defender had been arrested on suspicion of holding somebody against their will and causing injury, following an incident on February 12.
According to 'Las Provincias', the victim, who had identified Semedo and his cousin during a line-up with the Civil Guard, had a broken ankle, in addition to claiming he had been shot at, although he hadn't been hit by any bullets.
Following the complaint, police proceeded to search the player's house in which, alongwith a room which was doubling as a night club, they found a gun.
The 23-year-old has denied all aspects of the incident and his representative, Catia Balde, has assured fans that Semedo is the victim of a "prank".
However, with the player awaiting trial over a nightclub altercation in November, this new incident has certainly caused a lot of waves among the footballing world...
