The Egyptian superstar, who scored 44 goals last season, has had a tougher start to the campaign this time round, only notching three goals before his last two games.
Salah had faced criticism before a goal against Huddersfield on Sunday and his Champions League brace and Gullit seems to think it might have got to him.
The Dutch legend questioned why the former Roma man did not celebrate either of his goals in the 4-0 drubbing, speaking to 'BEIN Sports' he commented:
''I think he scuffed it [his shot] a little bit, but a good scuff,'' continuing:
''It's not his best foot. But the thing I don't understand is his reaction, what does it mean?
''You score a goal in the Champions League, he should be happy, it's almost like - I don't know, what is it? Is it a statement, like, look I'm still here?
''He could be happy, I think he could be happy, but I think his reaction is a little bit odd for me because even though he hasn't scored a lot of goals, it must be a relief.''
However Jurgen Klopp was not worried by the reaction, admitting he hadn't even noticed his star player's lack of celebration. Speaking after the game he said:
''He's completely fine. It's all good,'' Klopp said after the game.
''I couldn't see his face (when he scored) but I know he's fine. I saw his face when I took him off - that was different!''
