At the age of just 19, Matteo Guendouzi has had a tough introduction to the Premier League, facing reigning champions Manchester City and London rivals Chelsea in his first two fixtures.
However, the youngster has impressed in midfield and rewarded Unai Emery's faith in him, and despite losses to both sides.
Arsenal signed the Frenchman from Lorient in the summer for £8m despite not being the most well-known of players.
Yet, Guendouzi seems to have cemented his place in defensive midfield, showing his class on the ball and ability to read the game. He never looked out of place despite playing against City's Bernardo Silva, Kevin de Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero, and neither versus Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Jorginho.
'BBC' pundit Ian Wright described Guendouzi as 'his hero' following his display against Chelsea, where he showed off his incisive passing ability.
