"Guardiola will go to Italy and will change the style of football"

Although Pep Guardiola seems determined to continue at Manchester City despite a two-year ban from competing in Europe, a number of football players, coaches and experts have been discussing what would happen if he were to leave. Now, Sam Allardyce has placed him at Juventus. 

There has been talk of this possibility for some time now, and it is now growing in anticipation in the face of a possible exodus this summer - both by players and the coaching team. The English coach referred to it in statements to 'talkSport', where he noted that Guardiola's arrival in Italian football could mark a before and after. 

"The Italian style of football is very defensive and always has been. Winning 1-0 has always been enough for them. He will go and change it completely. He imposes his style of football wherever he lands," he said. 

The former Everton man sees him as being able to adapt to Italy because "we were surprised that he left Barcelona. Then he decided that Germany was the next adventure and the impressive thing about Pep was that he was able to learn German on his own, so when he left he knew how to communicate, which is very important if he goes abroad," he added. 

In addition, Allardyce thinks it would be a great loss for English football if if the Catalan coach does decide to leave: "It will be sad to lose Guardiola because he has contributed so much to the Premier League in his time".
