After scoring five past Crystal Palace, Pep Guardiola analysed the fixture and the season for Manchester City. He pointed out that his current team does not make the most of chances, something Barcelona were capable of doing when he was in the dugout.
'We haven't scored goals. This has been the problem, more than conceding many goals. How we play, I accept teams to counterattack and create chances. I am not a fan of numbers, but they do not lie', the Spaniard admitted.
Guardiola believes that City is the best team when it comes to creating chances, but they have missed too many chances, and that has been the difference.
'Today we scored in the second minute of the first half and the third minute of the second half so it made things a lot easier and the fans, players and staff could enjoy the last 40 minutes', he compared to other matches.
He also heaped praise on David Silva after his great game: 'The teams with the top-quality players don’t lose the possession in the opposition area. David is one of these players. He is a player who plays in small spaces'.
