At the press conference ahead of the head-to-head against Arsenal, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was keen to offer his opinion on Martin Odegaard, who will be back in a Gunners shirt this season.
"He fits in perfectly. Arsenal know him after his loan spell," said the Catalan coach about the Norwegian player, who made 20 official appearances for Arsenal last season on loan from Real Madrid.
Guardiola also praised Arteta's bid to sign Odegaard: "He's a young player with incredible qualities in small spaces. He also looks like a good kid. If they decided to sign him, it's because it was going to work".
"After having had someone for six months, if you want to sign him it's because you trust him," Guardiola said of Odegaard, who could return to the Premier League in Saturday's 12.30pm BTS head-to-head.
