Guardiola has it clear. There's no possibility for him outside of renewing his stay at City. That's just what he told the media who have been sharing rumours that talk of the exact opposite.
Guardiola has reiterated his intentions. He has once again declared his love for Manchester City and opened the door for his renewal. "I would love to stay longer at City, it is a place where I am really good, but to stay I have to deserve it", he said, when asked about his future.
"In the last decade, this club has reached certain standards, and I know that to renew I must maintain them", he continued, before the match against Wolves this Monday.
He said that nobody has ever demanded results from him. "The club has never pressured me or doubted me, from day one until today. They let me do my job", explained Pep.
"And I know that this will continue. I've never been told 'you have to win so many titles', or 'you have to do things this way'. They just let me play", insisted Guardiola.
This is Pep Guardiola's fifth season at the helm of Manchester City, a club he joined from Bayern Munich, who he dominated German football with.
And in England, he is also getting results, but he is missing the jewel in the crown, the trophy that ended up causing his departure from Bayern, the long-awaited Champions League win that he achieved twice with Barcelona.
