In the pre-match press conference for the Manchester City-Yokahama F. Marinos game, Guardiola was asked about Dani Alves' chances of joining Manchester City and seeing the Brazilian under his orders again.
"Every major club in the world knows about his situation and knows what an incredible player he is. He's an extraordinary person, but right now we have an incredible defence," Guardiola said.
The Catalan coach said that he is happy with his current team and is not worried about making new signings, with the ongoing complications and price inflations as an added factor for restraint.
Pep Guardiola already counts on Walker and Danilo, two players who've been performing at a high level, which is why Dani Alves is not a necessity for the Citizens manager.
