Atletico travelled to Israel to close the season. A friendly which also served a farewell game for some of the players in the squad. This included Griezmann, who had already announced that he was leaving Atletico in the summer.
The Frenchman was not a starter, but he did come on in the second half to try and turn around the 1-0 deficit from the dirst half. And he did not take long to bring his team level. It was from the penalty spot.
A cross from Arias struck Ben Haim, the Beitar defender, on the arm and the referee pointed to the spot. Of course, the '7' was the man to take it.
He took three steps before hitting into the top left hand corner of Nitzan's goal. He could not save it and that turned out to be Nitzan's last goal for Atletico.
After scoring, he hugged his teammates and then performed a half-hearted dance to celebrate the equaliser. Atletico would go on to lose the match 2-1.
