Despite the fact that he opened the doors to the MLS not long ago, Blaise Matuidi is still confident of seeing Antoine Griezmann succeed at Barcelona. The former PSG and Juventus player spoke of how badly the Frenchman is doing at Barca, but said that he will be able to overcome adversity to succeed.
Like many others, he attributed the role of Leo Messi to the lack of prominence of the former Atletico player: "We all know what is happening with Messi, who is taking up a lot of space on the pitch, but I know that Antoine will hold out, find his place and be able to give the best of himself".
Matuidi insisted that Barcelona have not used Griezmann in his best position: "He doesn't play in the position he likes, but he will hold out and find it. He was very good against Portugal, playing where he likes".
"This is the Griezmann we like to see and I hope he continues like that. We know that in Barcelona it is not the same, because he is not in a position that he likes. But he has to adapt, it is something that always happens in the big clubs", concluded Matuidi.
