Real Madrid are playing their last game of the season at home to Athletic on Sunday. This is Karim Benzema's last game in a Madrid shirt. The Frenchman bid farewell to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in the best possible way.

Oihan Sancet opened the scoring in the 49th minute to put the Basque side into a dominant position but Benzema scored the equaliser in the 72nd minute from the penalty spot.

Ancelotti's side earned a penalty due to a foul by Yuri on Eder Militao. The Madrid players decided that the French striker should take the penalty to seal his time at Real Madrid. It had to be him. 

Benzema netted his 354th goal for Madrid. Today is a sad day for all Madrid fans but they will end the day on a high note thanks to this goal. His future is still uncertain but he has been linked with Saudi club Al Ittihad.
