Giroud's love affair with the Europa League continues
Although he has only scored once in 20 Premier League appearances this season, Olivier Giroud has been hugely impressive in front of goal in the Europa League, where he has found the net nine times in nine games.
He is currently top of the competition's scoring charts, one ahead of Red Bull Salzburg's Munas Dabbur, who has scored eight goals. Sevilla's Wissam Ben Yedder and Eintracht Frankfurt's Luka Jovic complete the top four.
And his hat-trick against Dynamo Kiev was a 'perfect' one, having score once with his right foot, once with his left and once with his head.
Although Gonzalo Higuain continues to be Chelsea's first-choice striker, the form of Giroud is giving manager Maurizio Sarri a real selection headache.
