According to The Daily Mail, Girondins Bordeaux have moved their focus onto Olivier Giroud to bolster their offensive weaponry in the summer.
Giroud's current contract with Chelsea expires in July and he will be available for a free transfer.
On this matter, the above media source has suggested that the French club are close to making a move for the Frenchman, in light of his desire to return to his home country after a successfull spell in the Premier League.
At 32-years-old, Giroud has contested 42 matches this season, but has only started on 19 occasions. During those appearances, he has scored 12 goals and has distributed eight assists across all competitions.
Making his way through Grenoble's youth system, the striker signed with Arsenal in the summer of 2012, after spending time at Istres, Tours and Montpellier.
