Gavi wants more from Barca and turns down their first offer

Gavi is just 17 years old and he is one of the players who will be key to Barca's future. That is, at least, what Barca's plan is.
The Catalan side want to renew him as soon as possible. At the moment, however, no agreement has been reached. There has been an offer, 'Sport' reports, but not to Gavi's liking.
According to the Catalan paper, talks between Gavi, his agents and the board meant the footballer was given an offer. However, it was not what the midfielder was expecting.
'Sport' has not revealed the exact amount, but it suggests that his salary would be quite a lot lower than that of other first team players. Gavi believes he deserves more as he is an indisputable starter for Xavi.
Gavi is in no rush to renew although he would like to progress on talks and know what his future holds. His plan is to agree a long term contract at Barca.
But Gavi is clear that the offer he receives must be a good one given his contribution to the team. 'Sport' mentions the cases of Ansu Fati and Pedri who were guven a salary of six million euros a year.
