Gavi to undergo surgery on Tuesday, misses 8 months of competition

Spain and Barcelona lost one of their key players for several months when Gavi, the 19-year-old midfielder picked up a serious injury during the last international break with La Roja.

Suffering a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and an associated injury to the external meniscus, the 19-year-old will undergo surgery on Tuesday in Barcelona.
