Despite his unsuccessful spell at Valencia, Gary Neville is one of the most well respected football analysts in England. The ex-Manchester United player made a plan to try and finish this coronavirus hit season and he shared it with his followes on social media.
Firstly, Neville says this season should be concluded in as short a time as possible once the pandemic is under control and players' health is not at risk.
The Englishman also proposed that the transfer window opens in May and that it should be open for the whole of the 2020/21 season to give teams "agility". He also said that all contracts due to expire on 30th June should be extended until the end of the current season.
For next season, the former United defender suggested that next season should be condensed if necessary and finally that lower league clubs should be helped out financially.
His idea has gone down well in England and many experts are asking the FA to take his proposals into consideration when it comes to deciding what to do with the rest of this term and the next one.
