PSG will shortly announce that Christophe Galtier will become their manager, as he no longer is the head coach of Nice, as the French club themselves confirmed. This Monday, the training session at Nice was led by Lucien Favre, who returns there.
After two and a half seasons at Borussia Dortmund, where he won the German Supercup and finished second behind Bayern Munich, Lucien Favre returns to Nice, where he managed 99 games between 2016 and 2018.
At Nice, Favre finished in third place after a historic first season in 2016/17, where he built a team which played lovely football. They finished with 78 points and qualified for Europe, only placed behind Monaco and Paris Saint Germain.
Now, Nice are aiming for Europe in the 2022/23 season, with the 'play off' for the Conference League scheduled to take place in August. In order to achieve this, Nice have decided to trust in a man who they consider as "an apostle of the game".
Lucien Favre will be accompanied by Arjan Peco and Christophe Moulin, who complete the coaching team. Christophe Galtier has his bags packed and is ready to start at PSG.
