Galatasaray set to open talks with Man City over Ederson move

While no official bid has yet been submitted, early discussions have already taken place between the Turkish champions and the Brazilian international regarding personal terms.
Manchester City are aware of Galatasaray's interest and are bracing themselves for negotiations, though talks between the two clubs are still at an early stage. The Premier League side are not actively pushing for a sale but are open to offers should the terms prove favourable.
Ederson, who has been a key figure under Pep Guardiola, is reportedly open to a new challenge after seven trophy-laden seasons at the Etihad.
Galatasaray are said to be confident they can convince the 31-year-old to make the switch to Istanbul, with the lure of Champions League football and a central role in their project.
In the meantime, City have begun exploring their options in goal, with James Trafford emerging as a leading candidate. The England Under-21 keeper, who previously came through City's academy, is being considered as a potential replacement should Ederson depart this summer.
