Marcus Bettinelli, whose inclusion in Gareth Southgate's latest England squad was anounced on Wednesday, is reportedly in line to receive a new contract.
The 26-year-old has been at the west London club since 2011, and has played his way into Fulham's first team this season after initially starting on the bench.
Bettinnelli rejected a move to West Ham this summer, and rumours also linked him to London neighbours Chelsea as his place in the first team was threatened.
Engalnd manager Gareth Southgate called Bettinelli on Tuesday morning to invite him to train with the England squad. The two are already well-acquainted - Southgate gave Bettinelli his England U21s debut.
Bettinelli's increasing profile now looks set to be rewarded, with talks set to be opened over a fresh deal at Craven Cottage upon his return form international duty.
