Fulham have announced ambitious plans to revamp one of their current stands.
The club hopes to increase the capacity in a £100m project, from 25,700 and it will increase to just under 30,000 when work is complete.
Despite the improvements, between 6,000 and 7,000 seats are likely to be unavailable once the project begins. Four thousand seats in the Riverside Stand will be affected, while some in other stands will be inaccessible for safety reasons.
A club statement read: "Works on the new Riverside Stand are scheduled to start in May 2019 and will take an estimated two years to complete, ready for the start of the 2021/22 season.
"The Club is currently working on transition plans and will be consulting with the Fulham Supporters' Trust in regards to relocating supporters currently situated in the existing Riverside Stand with details announced in due course."
