According to 'Die Welt', the decision, controversial because of timetables, comes after a lawsuit filed by residents of the area where Freiburg's new stadium has been built.
This means that they will not be able to play in four of the six Bundesliga timetables for matches on weekends. In a calendar dominated by TVs, the neighbours finally won.
However, this decision will be taken in to account from the season 2020-21, when Freiburg move stadiums, a stadium that cost 76 million euros according to the aforementioned source.
Freiburg will appeal the German tribunal's decision as they consider that "it did not apply the currently valid values , but the values valid until 2017", the mayor of Freiburg, Martin Haag, said.
