Ander Herrera, the Spanish midfielder of Paris Saint-Germain, said on Friday that France cancelled the football league "prematurely", seeing how the rest of the championships in Europe are resuming activity to compete again.
The Bundesliga returned last week and throughout the month of June the national championships in England, Italy, Spain and Portugal will return.
"In my opinion France cancelled the league prematurely because it is proving that it is possible to return. The measures that France was taking as a country were not so drastic as to suspend the League," said Herrera, who sees colleagues from other countries "working" and is "envious.
"My friends and family were confined to Spain and in France we could still go out. From my point of view, the decision was taken prematurely, with the best of intentions, but it is being shown that football in other countries is moving forward," Herrera said at a virtual round table organized by Marca.
