According to British newspaper The Sun, four other English clubs could be on the brink of similar sanctions to those imposed on Chelsea. The cited source has not revealed the names of the clubs, although it does say that the clubs could be given similarly strong punishments due to the manner of their dealings with young international players.
This Friday, FIFA made public the revelations about Chelsea's youth dealings, claiming that the English club violated Article 19 of their ruling in the case of 29 under-age players, and have committed other infractions related to this law.
As well as being handed a transfer ban, Chelsea were given a fine of 460.000 euros and have 90 days to repair their current situation. According to German daily Der Spiegel, Manchester City could also be under threat of FIFA sanctions due to irregularities in their signing of youngster Jadon Sancho. The winger now plays for Borussia Dortmund, but City would still be vulnerable to punishment.
