Anderson, a Brazilian footballer who played for Manchester United for almost a decade, has been arrested in his native Brazil for not paying child support for 2 children.
The media 'GHZ' reported that the justice of Rio Grande do Sul has arrested the ex-footballer for not paying child support, a debt that reached 300,600 Brazilian reais, about 48,000 euros.
The arrest is to be served within 30 days, after which he will be sent to prison. If there is no vacancy for an inmate, the sentence must be served in a semi-open regime.
However, if the former Manchester United and Internacional de Porto Alegre player, among others, pays the debt, the charges will be dropped immediately.
This is not the first time Anderson has been involved with justice. In 2021 he was charged for allegedly embezzling 35 million reais, 5.6 million euros, and for money laundering in cryptocurrency operations.
