Making your Premier League debut as a 17 year old is a huge achievment for any player, but since then Josh McEachran has not been able to live up to the hype that once surrounded his career.
In fact, he is one of the players that is always used as an example for why young players can't make it at top clubs, having not pushed on at Chelsea due to lack of playing opportunities.
However, he took the decision to join Brentford in 2015 to try and revitalise his career, and on Wednesday night celebrated his first strike as a professional in a game against Birmingham.
"It took me a few years, but I finally got there and [it was] not a bad goal to be fair" the midfielder told the 'Evening Standard' after the game.
"I was happy with myself to get that, of course it has been a target of mine for a long time but I'm not a Frank Lampard-type player, I sit in front of the back four and dictate play from there.
"I'm not usually on free-kicks in and around the box but hopefully I will be now, I'll mention it in training and will be taking a lot more of them now."
