Jennings joined the German giants from Tranmere Rovers when he was just a teenager and made 36 appearances for their reserves, but after failing to break through he returned to England with Barnsley in 2013.
Now aged 25, after a spells at Barnsley and MK Dons ended in respective releases in 2015 and 2016, he is looking to revive his career

Undoubtedly a talented footballer, the former Bayern man will now turn out for North West Counties League side Runcorn.
Speaking on his signing to the club's website, their manager Chris Herbert said: "He has lost his way somewhat but I have met with Dale and he is desperate to resurrect his career,"
"He is still only 25 years old, and this next five years are going to be his best years in football.
"He wants to prove the doubters wrong and it was very refreshing to see and hear from someone who has been at one of the biggest clubs in the world at Bayern Munich."
Jennings talked about his spell in Bavaria with the 'BBC' in 2014, saying:
"They're one of the biggest clubs in the world and I knew they were the right ones for me," he said
"People ask me if I have regrets about going and I say 'no'. I think I would have had more regrets if I had turned it down because you don't know what is going to happen."
