A draw would have been fair and River cannot believe it. That was a thrilling finish to the final and it will be remembered for a long time to come.     River Plate beat Boca in the semi-finals. 2-0 at home before losing 1-0 away. Flamengo were held 1-1 at Gremio (also a Brazilian side) before thrashing them in the return. The winner of this will play in the Club WC in December in Qatar. Liverpool are at that tournament.

    For River, Armani is an Argentina international, Enzo Perez is ex-Valencia, De La Cruz represented Uruguay at the Under 20 WC two years back and Santos Borre upfront will be familiar to Villarreal fans.

GK Alves is ex-Valencia and was good at saving pens, F Luis is ex-Atletico, Rafinha ex-Bayern, Everton shone in the Copa America for Brazil and Gabriel Barbosa (Gabigol) has not done well in Europe, but is brilliant scoring goals in Brazil.
